Health, Safety and Environment are central to URBANCOLLECTIVE’S core business values. Our vision is simple – to provide workplaces free from harm and supported by a culture which ensures that the safety of people and protection of the environment remains an absolute priority.
URBANCOLLECTIVE believes that
- all injuries are preventable
- health and safety must always be a personal and business priority, and
- we all have a personal responsibility for health and safety
Objectives for achieving our vision of providing a workplace free from harm include:
- Complying with applicable statutory requirements, codes of practices, standards and guidelines.
- Establishing measurable objectives and targets aimed at the elimination of work related incidents or impacts from our activities, products or services.
- Defining roles, responsibilities and levels of accountability for Health, Safety & Environment.
URBANCOLLECTIVE will;
- plan our operations to proactively identify, assess and control health and safety risks
- establish and report against health and safety targets that support our journey to achieving a workplace free from harm
- continually assess our performance and practices to identify and act on opportunities for improvement
- take a leadership role with our consultants and contractors and assist them to continually improve their health and safety performance
- integrate risk management principles in all activities
- ensure incidents are investigated and lessons learnt are shared across the business
- providing timely and effective injury management and environmental remediation strategy
- regularly review of Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and ongoing relevance across the business
- regular consult with our teams and other stakeholders to improve decision making on Health, Safety & Environment matters
